Course Description:
This class builds on the instruction from Quiltmaking with Heidi Parkes: Aesthetics, Creativity, Efficiency, and you MUST take that class first in order to enroll in Advanced Quiltmaking.
Monthly Course Structure:
Robust pre-recorded video learning in each module, according to our curriculum—about 6 hours per module, with 6.5 modules total. You will maintain access to this area as an alum.
Instead of a “Studio Community” with a “virtual studio,” we will have a “Community Updates” section where you can share articles, videos, your own posts, calls for entry, and request tips for editing for your writing, photography, composition, sewing technique, etc. You will maintain access to this area as an alum.
Meet once a month, in our cohort group of 10. The first and last gathering will have 10-minutes per person. The other gatherings will alternate “presenters”, and all presenters can sign up to select their 25-minute time slot in advance. Example: 5 people will present in February, and the other 5 will present in March.
Participants will be guided in coordinating their own conversation pairings throughout the course.
Everyone will all receive a 45-minute one-on-one conversation with Heidi by the end of March.
*Within a few days of registering, you will receive a welcome email with an invitation to the Advanced Quiltmaking section of our Mighty Network, where you can add the events to your calendar, and prepare for class.
