This quilt is part of a series in which I’ve collected my white scraps and pieced them together with minimal intervention, so that the viewer might sift through the shapes like an archaeologist. My habits around observing discards formed while I was a student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2005) and is a practical method for reckoning with my intentions and impact.
