This quilt is an extension of my series that began with But, I Tried to Remember.

Dark fabrics mix with a silver thread and there is a dream like quality in this piece that whispers to me something about quilts, beds, sleeping, and the night. As a night person, I often sew in the late hours, and this composition came together one evening while at my friend Amanda Nadig’s home in Chicago. (The city where I was born at night, on a new moon, in the winter)
