I accumulate a great many scraps of white fabric. Most of my quilts are backed with white cotton muslin, and after trimming and binding them, I’m left with 2” x 20’ strips of the stuff! This quilt and series is the result of tracking this waste and making the most of it. Scraps are minimally altered, thus revealing some circles, strips, triangles, and other odd bits. This quilt was made for my ARTservancy Artists Residency, and then became the basis of my Scrap Quilt Workshop online. You can see examples of student work inspired by this quilt on Instagram at #hpscraps!
